I'm walking on clouds, dear
Basia has just posted our family portrait! I fell in love with her work after an introduction by
Lisa Falzon. This is the second commission she has done for my family and they are both treasures. Her work is like slipping into a magical world of softly glistening dreams.
Basia completely surprised me by portraying us as a family of wizards, she knew my hubby is an avid fencer and that I love fairy tales and bit of the exotic. I'd say she got us just perfect.

It's beautiful and the details are amazing!
How wonderful is this!!! Wow your so lucky!!! She does beautiful work!! Love your family!! Sarah
Oh, I love this!!!
It's really unusual isn't it? I love the way different artists have their own style of portrature. I've done some in the past but always feel obliged to do it in a traditional style - lack of confidence I suppose! This will be a lovely keepsake:)x
I love her work too! You are so lucky, this is really special!
I do feel very lucky!
Thank you all for taking a peak I'm glad you are enjoying Basia's work!
Jessica, That's probably why I don't do portraits ;)

what a wonderful painting! so precious too. thank you for your sweet words on my faerietales blog.
I love it! How wonderful! I love to make my commissioned portraits full of fairy magic-anything is possible. I don't think I could do just a "normal" portrait if I tried. Your family of wizards is divine!
Wow, that's really fantastic! Love the "glowy" ethereal feeling of it.
What a great picture! Such a good idea too, combining fantasy art and family portraiture, and I love the blue sparkly darkness.
I wanted to thank you for your kind words over at my journal- I'm loving each note sent to me by people discovering me through the magazine- this is the first time I've seen one in the flesh and you're right, it's to keep forever!
Simply amazing! How lucky for you to own such a special piece of artwork!
