Swan Child

I believe I've finally completed my Swan girl!  I'm sorry that the image isn't clearer, she is much to large for my scanner so I had to take a photo. (I will take her in for professional scanning soon)

I've been working on her for months and couldn't wait to share with you!

Do you think the title "Swan Child" suits her? I thought Transformation sounded a bit to obvious or heavy.

I love the peacock feather accents toward the bottom. I think that the visual interest that it brings to the bottom of the painting emphasizes all of the flowing movement, sort of pulling the eye along through the whole thing from top to bottom. Beautifully done, as usual!

Hey Cat! Don't know if you remember me from our LOTR days..fattylumpkin aka Kim Kincaid? Good to see you are still creating your beautiful, fluid work. I came here via Tara L. Chang's blog. Checked out your Etsy shop and recognized your Goldberry picture. I'm sure I'll be back now that I know where you are. Take care.

How beautiful!! I love how fluid and soft the whole piece feels and .. that wonderful feather shawl!

And thank you so much for that post on Yoshitaka Amano! I actually own the original Angel's Egg book by him and have cherished it for many years, but ... since its in Japanese (and while I can sort my way through a Tokyo ramen menuboard.. that's about it), I've never known the artist's name behind this beautiful book! And now I do! :)

There are those of us out here who need obvious and heavy. Who need all the clues artists can throw our way, because we want to understand too.

What a striking image. Truly beautiful.

Bejeweled I'm so glad I helped solve that mystery :) His work is wonderful!

Barry, thank you so much! I certainly don't want to alienate anyone :) So true! Thank you for stopping in!
